Sometimes perseverance pays off. Take for example the oil filter that wouldn’t let go. After rounding off, being crushed, poked, and prodded, it took a seat belt on a stick tool to remove the little bugger.
I’m not sure how I feel about having a lighter held to a fuel tank in my kitchen. I suppose life is about taking chances though.
Thanks to the artist for an illustrative description of my accident. It’s nice to know that I was shooting for the moon as I launched off my bike. Considering the air I got, I’m lucky the collar bone was all I broke!
Then again, sometimes perseverance does not pay off. Delivered flowers take a day or so to start perking up as they drink the water before blooming into an intensely beautiful display. Over time, certain plants can be transferred into soil and continue growing while others, like my freshly cut tulips, do not. They are still wonderful flowers that will not be forgotten. Unfortunately, even with careful trimming and watering, they still wilt away and with that, another chapter ends.
