You know you’re official when you have a business card. Thanks to Chad for this awesome gift and to everyone for making my special day that much more special.
I really like this shot that was taken with a point and click camera in Charlotte. It’s nice sharing a pod with someone who is familiar but doesn’t take that comfort for granted.
Here’s a clue as to where it was taken.
Julie and I feasted on adult beverages – not really. It’s hard to imagine that we still have conversations about drinking coffee. I still remember feeling excited about getting my drivers license. Those were the days and I’m not ready to give them up.
What must you always include in a perfect weekend? A short jaunt which we call the Cabarrus County loop. Here’s the irony: it’s not really a loop. Nobody really knows where we are riding and some of our party doesn’t even know where Cabarrus County is. We fly by the seat of our pants, ballistic overpants that is and always make a great time of it.
Claudia and Patrick came out to Claudia’s favorite restaurant. You’ve got to love getting a gift card for a clothes store with a half naked guy who is clearly not showing off any clothes but hey, I’m not complaining.
Jami, Lesley, and Chad reunite without the woodturning.
Panama and Dan hang out. Dan gave me the gift that keeps on giving especially when you get 55 mpg because I ride like a grandma. Claudia said it best:
Patrick was like so your friends hang out with leprechauns.. I think for a moment he thought he was hallucinating cause no one really seemed phased by it.. LOL.
Fran and Perry
Brandy and Nick with his motorcycle t-shirt. How cute.
Me and J (and the star of the photo, my white styrofoam cup)
Purple and pink day
Check out the spikey do.
Two full orders of fried pickles. Delicious. Devoured. Dysentery. Just kidding. Most folks wouldn’t know that word anyway unless they played Oregon Trail back in the day. Dysentery killed more of my folks than I killed stiff buffalo crossing the screen.
Lesley helped me match my clothes since I never learned to do it myself.
Somehow we managed to get everyone seated at the same time. Amazing!
Jason and Rebecca reunite outside : )
We pose with the birthday box.
Chris and Ariel join the crew.
The birthday shot looked more like a birthday martini. Either way, it was delish! Thanks Brandy!
Well well. Lookie who decided to finally join us after his nap and fixing chicken alfredo.
Brandy wrote me a birthday message in the restroom. You can see the remnants of it behind the new Men are nasty message which everyone agreed with.
The ping pong tournament was on. Chad caught a ball in action shot.
Jesse is trying to sleep standing up.
I was all smiles to see Decker’s grade A Alpinestars hoodie. This will never stop being funny to me.
The paparazzi were after Brandy.
Here’s the paps himself.
I’m not sure what was going on in this photo but Chad looks really happy and in the next one, I’m starting the celebration right on time!
Thanks again to all of my peeps for sharing my special day. Although so much has changed in a year, so much has stayed the same. Even my old injury from a bike wreck flared up right during a game of tennis to remind me that another year bites the dust : )

Happy Birthday! Looks like it was a great time!
Why wouldn’t you hang out with leprechauns, it makes it easier to find their gold! Sorry Brandy?
