With so much swelling after the accident, I had to wait for home to see my local ortho doctor for the real stuff.
It looks okay but it really isn’t.
I get the bad news that the cast has to immobilize the joint above the break (the knee) and below (the ankle).
Bill gives me a bunch of color choices. I settle on purple which should match my new plum purse and is this season’s color. He starts wrapping up the leg.
Here I am with Bill showing off my latest accessory.
Wish me luck as next Wednesday, I find out if I need surgery. If the bone hasn’t shifted, then I will be in this gigantic cast for 4 – 6 weeks, a shorter one for another 4 – 6 weeks, and finally a walking boot for the last 4 – 6 weeks. Another four months in a cast without walking seems amazingly long right now. As always, I just have to take it one day at a time. For now, the Antirider is really anti riding – just kidding! Y’all know I’ll be back!

Wishing you a speedy and painless recovery!
For your next cast your should discuss the possibility of getting it green/white/red with a GIVI logo inlayed.
Hope your feeling better!
Mike

Hello, I just see your blog. I hope you have no pain with your broken leg. I am surprised to see you are so amazing with this accident and being so positive when you are disabled for some weeks. You are a great strong woman.
Cheers, Alain
