My XT has left for winter vacation and my poor SV’s have died in the garage. The street SV has a bad regulator / rectifier and the battery has been toast for a while but it will turn over if I keep it on the tender. The track SV usually does pretty good but too much time has passed. I got an adapter so that my heated jacket lead will double as a battery tender lead. Obviously, I can’t be wearing my heated jacket while I’m charging the battery so this is a perfect solution. Here I am using my roll around stool in the garage as a make shift wheelchair. Working beside a bike is not the most comfortable position but it gets the job done.
Jason is speshal.
Only I would want someone else’s wrecked spool sliders. Aesthetics and condition are not a big deal for functional stuff like this. Notice how filthy my bike is. I’ve gotten plenty of comments from my dealers about how I should clean my bike but no offers to do so! Usually I’d rather be riding my bike than cleaning it : )
Desperate times call for desperate measures like when it’s freezing outside and J has to borrow my Paul Frank beanie to keep warm.
What a sad site. I usually ride through the winter so I don’t have to winterize or even keep the bikes on tenders. Given my current condition, I guess it’s a good thing that I got the double bank battery tender.
At my favorite place Costco, a water bottle dangles from the third shelf but won’t fall. A lady walks up to the machine, puts in a dollar, and tries to get a water but every selection she makes says it’s empty. She looks around to see if anyone can help and I signal that she should bang on the machine to get the water bottle to fall. She’s embarrassed to do this so Jason goes to help. No luck again and she finally gives up but can’t get her money back. About ten minutes after she leaves, the machine spits back out her dollar and the bill sits in the machine unnoticed. Funny! or maybe not to the thirsty lady.
I give two thumbs up for the new Outback Gingerbread Martini! The Ruler of the Earth (not world) agrees. Do you know the difference between Earth and world?
J found a new sauce called Chick-Fil-A sauce. It’s a barbecue sauce with a hint of honey. It’s pretty tasty so you should give it a try. Have you ever seen someone have so many sauces at their table before?
Life is about new experiences and I tried a new place called Friendly’s. This is not some high end gourmet restaurant but it is something different and if it’s got ice cream, I want to try it! They boast this original drink called a Fribble that’s a mix of a shake, float, and smoothie. I gave it a try but really it tasted no different than a shake. Oh well… it was new experience though!
I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream!
My new Sony Cyber-shot TX-1 digital camera has Smile Shutter technology. This means if you have this feature on, you just hold the camera up and as soon as the camera detects a smile, it will take a picture without you having to depress the shutter button. This works really great when you have several people in a frame and want to catch them all smiling. Lenny and I have fun testing it out.
Talk about new experiences. Where else can you order a root beer called a Lemonade and get two happy endings (one “Hold Whip Top”)? Check out Friendly’s for a happy ending when you get the chance but pass on the Fribble unless you just want a plain shake.
Once again, in a classic C move, I go see a movie that I have no idea what the story is about. Watching Men Who Stare at Goats was a complete surprise as was Zombieland and Boondock Saints. For some reason, I keep ending up at these movies that I know nothing about. I would say I didn’t really get this movie but as Lenny said, there really wasn’t anything to get. As always, I have a great time with Brendan, Jenny, Lenny, and J. That’s what really matters!
We had our pick of seats as it wasn’t that crowded.
It seems that my toes are getting a lot of attention these days. I swapped the purple polish for some hot pink to match the new cast. Craaaazy!
Although not being able to walk is a bit of a bummer, it has not stopped me from playing Wii and doing head stands (and as Fran added – hula hooping too). Bending my knee is helping me get back to a lot more activities except of course, that darned walking bid-ness (thanks to Jonathan for that new term).
Congrats to Wes and my new namesake… sort of!
