These are how my bowls look after they come out of the kiln the first time and haven’t been glazed.

Jinny is showing us how to apply wax before glazing.

Cathy has several bowls to glaze.

Jinny is amongst all of the buckets of glaze.

This chart shows us how the glazes will look after firing.

One batch is ready to come out of the kiln.

We always see examples of other potter’s work.

It’s handle time!

Ann is always here and shows off her latest lamp.

I decide to try my hand at underglazes again.

The underglaze did not turn out as expected.  However, the larger bowl turns out great!  I dipped the rim in another glaze and love how the Ryoco cream shows off the throwing lines.

Jinny shows off how to throw off the hump to make egg poachers.

This is even more amazing to watch in person.

My egg poacher turns out a bit small and becomes a ring holder.

Since it’s such a long process, I always have more in the works.  Two more get ready for bisque firing.

Most of the class hates to glaze but I love it.  It’s the last step before seeing the final product.  It’s so exciting and surprising to see how different glazes change in the kiln.
