Chad gets a new trailer just for the occasion.

Mark is so proud of drinking the orange kool-aid.

Jason washes his boots BEFORE the ride.

I love the colorful laundry bag.

You know the deal.  I buy these new motorcross pants right before I break my leg.

You’re supposed to roll around and get the crash bugs off the new pants before riding in them.  Chad documents the process in case you don’t know.

Jason lights sparklers to celebrate my first ride back since my XT broken leg accident.

The rally goers: J, me, Mark, and Chad

Oopsie!  The XT has a dead battery.  Jason tests out the kick starter that Mark just installed.

After a few tries, Jason “sets up” Chad to try the kick starter when all of a sudden, poof!  The kick starter breaks.  Chad thinks this was all planned so he’d have to be the fall guy for the break!

The participants with their bikes

Off we go…

It looks as though Jason has hijacked my XT again!

XT maintenance – there seems to be a trend.  My rear brake light return spring has bounced itself off so the boys put it back on.  Chad is surprised that the spring seems to be sooo far away until he remembers to depress the brake.  DOH!

Hidden eyes

Jason is back on his DR 350.

Mark is the only one with custom graphics.  Fancy!

Natural refrigeration – the creek

Chad goes back to get more water

Nicky and Hayden always look so pitiful according to Mark.

Chad is always so prepared with healthy Kashi bars to share.  Jason shows off his speshal side again.

Bro brings sis’ Lisa over.  I guess you can never be too old to take your sis’ out on a bike!

Lisa kindly stays to take a few shots of the crew:

She catches us all in action (except for Chad left his leg down!):

Jason and his DR 350

Mark and his KTM 450 EXCR

Chad and his Husquvarna TE 510

Me and my Yamaha XT 225

Someone is taking over the Japanese tourist duties.  Look at that big lens.

Slacking on the job

I actually borrow Chad’s camera and get a lucky shot of Mark tearing it up

Mark-Solo

Check out the video of the fellas tearing it up

We stop for a photo break

Mark never stops…

…until he spots Spiderman in the distance

He brings Spiderman back for a ride

Look at that lean angle!

Of course no dual sport ride would be complete without some redneck engineering.  Jason’s starter is a loose red wire touching the spot where the button used to be.

Along with redneck engineering, another must have is broken parts.  Here lies Chad’s mirror.  RIP.

Jason plays musical bikes

Chad is still breaking in the new ride

Back to the homestead without serious damage or injury.

It’s good that I document this occasion since the Sparta Dual Sport Track has been closed indefinitely as of the publishing of this blog :(   Guess we’ll have to tear it up somewhere else next time!
