Jason has loading down to a science.
We pick up two hitch hikers named Chad and Mark.
Chad’s new trailer is very convenient.
Even chicken buckets are pink now. Chad reminds us that heart disease is the leading cause of death for women well beyond breast cancer. However he also adds that tatas are more fun to talk about.
Mark tends to the hounds (as he calls them).
Chad and Jason tend to Baa.
Baa will really eat anything.
We take a ride out to the track and those hitch hikers follow us again.
We pass the pond and Sugar Shack.
The boys mean business as trail maintenance begins.
Jason is the flag man.
Mark and Chad get a head start on the trail maintenance.
I make a pit stop for flowers.
Brush clearing begins.
Out comes the axe for breaking down trees.
My job is to tie the pink tape around the trees to mark the path.
Small pliable tree versus Chad and Jason
At first I think I’ll stand in the tree stump until I see all of the bugs and spider webs. I settle for standing next to it.
This tree gets a double ribbon.
We have a lot of discussions about which path is right.
Artistic. Pink. Tron.
Jason comes after me with a big clump of nasty leaves and stuff.
The fellas push this tree up and down. At one point, I think it may spring back and turn ugly.
The view from the track.
Because boys never grow out wanting to throw rocks into the pond
The tree just keeps on growing no matter what happens.
It’s time to pack up
