One of the joys of life is making Chad laugh about my adventures.

For those who don’t know, Michael’s is a local arts and crafts store that is always advertising their custom framing services.  I decided that I wanted to frame my diploma after all these years so I needed a mat.  Unfortunately, despite all their abundant advertising for framing, when you go to the framing counter, they just have a little sign that says go to customer service.

After I paid for my stuff, I told the cashier that I was going back to the framing area.  After all, if they weren’t going to put someone back there, I’m not going to wait around so I just helped myself.

Here I’ve cleaned my frame and laid in the mat.  After I was about halfway done, the worker came back and totally freaked out.  She started spouting off about how I wasn’t supposed to be back there and they had all these insurance rules, etc.  Despite her cold stares, I continued to work on my frame and taped in my diploma while she stood there.  I took my time and made sure that I did a good job.  See I even have time to take some photos ;) After all, this story would be no good without photographic evidence of me in the framing room.
