It’s official. I live like a bachelor:
* I rarely clean my home.
* I have more beverages and condiments in my fridge than actual food.
* I have Jalapeno Cheetos and other assorted chips in my cabinet.
It’s been a couple of months but I still haven’t officially finished unpacking. As I’m opening boxes, I’m finally taking the time to go through them. Jason says I like to buy storage and organization stuff but never use them. I’ve never thought about it before but he’s right. I have lots of empty plastic boxes and then junk laying loose everywhere. I’m not anywhere close to those hoarders on the TV shows but having been in the same home for almost a decade, I accumulated and packed away a lot of unnecessary stuff.
Out to the trash are my old trophies and plaques from school way back when. I have bags and bags of papers that I’ve scanned and other bags that are just going to the shredder or trash. I feel so busy with the things that are current in my life, I’m not sure how hanging onto old sentimental items that I never revisit will make any difference.
Life is about living and not being burdened with material possessions (unless of course they have a motor).
