Chad helps Leonard celebrate his birthday. Instead of a regular birthday candle, Leonard opts for a citronella candle.
Jason and Perry
Leonard takes shelter from the rain with a grill cover.
The boys take shelter under the EZ up. Thank goodness for track days!
Kevin, Seon-yi, and Ross join Leonard at the table.
John, Erica, Brittany, and Chad take the other corner.
I’m not sure what Perry just smelled.
Chad enjoys his own tuna filet as the other beef eaters go by.
Leonard’s crew moves outside.
Chow down!
Russell joins the group.
Biker bad boys
John and Julie
Chad brings some beautiful flowers.
We almost lost Apples to Apples when Leonard rescues the game.
Erica is glad to have it back.
Everybody gathers round to start the game.
Of course even in a sea of people, Chad manages to bust out a Blue Steel pose.
Erica draws the ultimate card – Keanu Reeves!
John and Julie take turns as the decision makers.
We sit on the back row like the kids that sit in the back of the bus. You know what that means.
Everyone is carefully analyzing each other.
The game forces you to think like the judge. Julie and I guess each other’s answers correctly when no one else in the room understands. It just goes to show you what 15 years of friendship can do.
Leonard has a delicious tray of cupcakes. Unfortunately the next day, the cupcakes explode in the backseat of his car filling the entire container and overflowing into his backseat.
Jason gets an amazingly abnormal cupcake with loads of frosting.
This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Drum roll…
… and this is what my friends think of the hat that Perry brought all the way back from China.
Mark: This is sooooo cliche… Lol..
Jason: Now I can just point to this photo and say see! I do have an Asian gf! *cue gong*
Fran: You have a hillbilly gf trapped in a Vietnamese body. *cue banjo*
Jason: its like someone playing the banjo on the gong show
Fran: Or HeeHaw with all Asian characters. "Howdy y’all!"
For the record, I don’t say, “Howdy.”
