The heat forces the crew inside.  Amber joins the group and rides the light rail for the first time.

Brittany, Erica, and Chad

Me and Jason.  This is the scene of one of our non dates while not dating.

Erica is interested in this fella’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt.  It’s like he’s posing for the camera.

Jonathan joins us and I think Erica is trying to sell some bottled water.

I have no idea what these two are doing but looking super sily.

Perry is the ultimate photo bomber.

It’s nice to have a big group come out to enjoy the Alive After Five at the Epicenter:

Jason, Chad, Erica, Brittany, Jason, me, Jonathan, Amber, and Perry (we missed you Fran!!)

It’s the boys and the girls.  Obviously, Chad doesn’t want any part of the boys group.

The cover band is Appetite for Destruction, a Guns and Roses cover band.  Once again, why do cover bands have to look like the actual band?

I spot the group hanging out near the police officers.

We have a great photo op with this fella who is sporting AC/DC boxers.  I’m not sure why he thinks we want a photo with him but he happily complies and flashes the peace sign.

There are two parts to this story:

1. Front and center is a dude who is SO into this band.  He’s rocking out and playing air guitar.  He’s just totally over the top in a funny way!

2. I go to take a photo of their #1 fan.  As I approach the side of the stage to grab these photos, the Slash wannabe spots me.  He immediately makes a bee line towards me and starts really playing up the guitar and antics.  I have to politely shoo him away so he’s not obstructing my view of overzealous fan.  When he realizes that he is not the focus of my photo, he slowly retreats.

Thanks photo bomber.

Jonathan snags a photo with a random girl rocking it.

This is where the night begins to deteriorate.  The camera is out of my possession and gets passed around.  See the slippery slope…

Then the flash is introduced.

This is what I got when I traded my chain lube.

The red is a little much for me this late at night.

Nothing is better than greasy burgers and fries after a fun night out.

We have a contemplative crowd.

This is a really bizarre photo.  I don’t know what’s going on with the expressions on the left side of the table and it appears that Jason is sticking a fry in my ear.

This is Jason’s bacon burger with extra bacon.

We close out Five Guys and leave a mess of peanut shells on the floor.

Folks are exiting on the red carpet.

The trip home on the light rail is always interesting.  It’s fun to start the evening needing your sunglasses and end with them on your head.

It’s always a good time with this fun crew!

  1. Officially the most silly and fun post you’ve made so far!
