Thank you to everyone who contributed to Campus Outreach in memory of HeeJun Kim. Amazingly, we were able to raise over $1500 for students to attend Christian conferences. It goes to show you how a small group of people can make a HUGE impact. Thank you ALL!
This is a snapshot of what was my front page for a while to share the HeeJun Kim Memorial Event.
We lost HeeJun Kim in a tragic motorcycle accident on August 9, 2008. HeeJun died doing something he loved and if you’re on this site, chances are you understand his passion. As we all know but sometimes forget, life is too short to not live it to the fullest each day. As a fellow rider, please help support his memory. Not only was HeeJun a fellow motorcycle enthusiast, he was our friend, a husband, a son, a brother and most importantly, a Christian.
HeeJun was an active member of Campus Outreach at his alma mater UNC Charlotte. He attended every Christmas Conference and the Summer Beach Project. HeeJun looked forward to the day he could financially help other students experience the same events as he did. His widow, Erica Kim is working to continue HeeJun’s vision in raising funds for students to attend the Campus Outreach Christmas Conference. We are asking our fellow riders and friends to contribute to this cause in memory of HeeJun Kim.
On July 24, 2010, Erica Kim will host a fundraising event in Charlotte: HeeJun Kim Memorial Event benefiting Campus Outreach. If you would like to attend the event, please use Contact Me to email me and I can send you more details. For those that cannot attend, your donation will still help honor HeeJun’s memory. All donations are tax deductible. If you would like a receipt, please include your name and mailing address with your donation. Campus Outreach will mail receipts directly to the address provided. PayPal is accepted online and we ask you please help in paying the fees so that more of your contribution will go towards HeeJun’s charity. Erica and I can accept cash and checks made payable to Campus Outreach with Heejun Kim Memorial written in the memo line.
