That’s right.  Charlotte has arrived.  We are now the home of the first Pinkberry in North Carolina.

The site is still under construction but they are scheduled to open this month.

Jason and Leonard join the festivities.

The actual store may not be open but they have the supplies for samples and give aways.  Remember where there is free ice cream, there is C.

Leonard and I make Pinkberry history (in Charlotte) at least and are the first to in line to get samples on this hot day.  It’s a good thing because the line grows longer.

Look at Leonard’s big smile!

Jason and I take turns spinning the wheel for prizes.

Oh la la!  We all choose original with various combinations of toppings:

C: kiwi / strawberry / pineapples / gummy bears with pomegranate sauce (more like Sour Patch Kids)
J: kiwi / strawberry / dry cereal toppings (AKA Cap’N Crunch cereal)
L: strawberry / pineapple

We both get free Pinkberry t-shirts.

As we are enjoyoing our free frozen yogurt like dessert in the hot sun, a horse drawn carriage comes around the circle at Phillips Place.  It’s a wedding party with personal paparazzi.

The photographer tells the audience to wave goodbye for a shot.

The big score is the coupons of course.

It’s nice to have someone who understands the importance of a Pinkberry opening in Charlotte.  It’s also nice when you’re walking in the hot sun and you hear someone honk their horn at you.  It’s even better when that person is your cousin so you go bolting across several lanes of traffic to jump in his car while waiting at the red light.  The best part is when he hands the backseat rider a towel to sit on because the driver’s cupcakes exploded leaving a chocolate mess in the rear seat.  No two days are ever the same in the Antirider Rider’s life.
