Today I am officially living the most hippie day that I can stand.  For the record, I am NOT a hippie or vegetarian.  First I skip the gas guzzling premium drinking eight cylinder boat for a bicycle ride to the local grocery store.  I proceed to buy perishable items like fresh vegetables that will not survive forever in my deep freezer or a nuclear bomb.  I fix a lunch of veggie black bean burgers with hummus and lettuce on whole wheat tortillas.  The sides are organic carrots and gluten free chips.  We use real plates instead of my usual styrofoam disposable stuff.  In the meal preparation, I even recycle a few empty containers instead of dropping them into the garbage can.  All this hippiness could kill someone!

To counteract the Earth saving activities, we browse some new gas wasting two wheeled toys.

This is for me to do some vintage flat track racing.

I’m surprised to hear Jason actually say this bike may be TOO big.

After some bike shopping, we carpool with Perry and Fran to the Cajun Queen.

Perry continues his Muscadine wine and sangria drinking habits with another hurricane glass full of swamp water.  He proceeds to order etoufee which he describes as a bowl of happiness.  Obviously I don’t have a refined palate for these Cajun foods.

Fran is extremely excited to find delicious fried green tomatoes on the menu.

I have lifted the boycott from this restaurant because it is one of Jason’s favorites.  Any place that doesn’t allow you to customize your dish will go on the ban list for a minimum of seven years.

After we return with full bellies, the Stacks proceed to perform a musical show for us.  The concert starts with Fran on the piano.

Then Perry concentrates immensely while he plays violin.

What good is a concert if you can’t hear it live?
