No gas is wasted in this garage!

Jason takes his new Givi tank bag out for its inaugural ride.

At the last minute, I notice that my grab rail is missing.  Jason does a quick switch for the SW Motech rear rack plate.  He opted against the Givi rack but I did at least get him to switch to a Givi E360 hard bag and matching Monokey plate.

We make a pitstop at Todd’s and check out the new aircraft grade aluminum ramp.  That is some heavy duty stuff.

Todd heads up a vintage bike ride for folks wanting to bring out the tamer members of the stable.  It’s a shame that my old Kawasaki KZ440 was stolen.

We roll up to meet John and Kevin in Lincolnton.

John brings his 86 yamaha FZR (AKA the Fazer).

Kevin’s vintage ride is pretty new looking as the anniversary edition Bonnie.

Todd’s Honda 1100.

Of course, the prize winning vintage SV.  Actually I should have brought mine considering it’s the first year they started making the SV’s.

Todd pulls out his state of the art GPS that is so futuristic that it doesn’t even use batteries.

We squeeze in one photo before our day takes a turn.

Jason leans over to check on his rear sprocket and promptly tells me we’re not going anywhere.  On our initial ride out, Jason feels something is a little off but it corrects itself.  Unfortunately, he realizes that it is getting better because he is snapping the teeth off his rear sprocket so it’s not resisting as much.

The ride home is very somber and slow as Jason gingerly rolls it back into town.  Fortunately, we get home safely but our vintage ride is cut short before it even starts.  Another day will bring another ride.

  1. Kevin that is a nice Triumph

  2. I would liked to known about a vintage bike ride for folks wanting to bring out the tamer members of the stable I would have rode my older bike.
