The nice thing about traveling with a mechanic is having someone who can help you with road emergencies.

J3 notices that the rear tire is low when we stop for dinner.  He finds the culprit by the light of the Blackberry.

Fortunately, we find a repair kit at the local gas station.  Enjoy the picture by picture tutorial of plugging a tire.

Doesn’t everyone love to do their jobs after work hours?

 1. Use pliers to carefully remove the nail.

2. Use the reamer tool (like a screwdriver) to make the hole big enough for the plug.

3. Add air to the tire so that the reamer tool can work better to open up the hole.

4. Thread the plug into the needle.

5. The fellas take turns trying to push the plug into the hole while the other adds air.

After several pushes and trade-offs, the plug goes in.

6. The plug is in place.  No trimming needed.

We are back in business and continuing our road trip!   The Jason’s take a break from being dark Jason and light Jason for one night.  They are both doing good as two light Jason’s in a light car.
