What’s better than having your own storage building? How about having a custom ramp built just for it? Those bikes don’t like making the jump up alone!
Mark brings down all the tools and supplies needed. Jason brings out a few scraps just for testing.
Mark makes some preliminary measurements and using the board as a ruler. During the planning stages, the three of us have many MENSA moments — that’s what we’ll call them for now.
Out come the sawhorses.
Next Mark lays out the framing of the ramp.
I am hard at work raking leaves off the patio. This MAY have been a staged photo.
The handy jigsaw makes another guest appearance after cutting through Jason’s shelf like butter.
Mark continues laying out the ramp and starts nailing the horizontal slats.
Out comes the power drill.
Too bad all of these cordless drills have dead batteries — ALL THREE! So out comes the hand cranking tools.
Jason holds down the board as Mark nails them down.
Ta-dah! The custom ramp is complete. It’s even notched to fit onto the building skids perfectly!
The first test subject is the rolling chassis DR 350. For those that haven’t heard, you must ask Jason the story about falling through the ramp while pushing the chassis. It’s awesome!
The third from bench seat from Mark’s truck finally makes it home after the 60″ TV adventure.
The ramp works perfect for the SV’s.
Jason brooms away as he makes a clean area for his new ramp and shows off his new green rug.
