When other people are making profound resolutions about being better people, losing weight, volunteering more, I’m making a rocket scientist resolution of have lots of fun! How deep is that?
On our way home, we run across an antique sewing machine – a 1947 Singer sewing machine to be exact. I plead for Russell to bring it home and he and Kenan start working to get it running. After massive amounts of sewing machine oil, the machine is finally free and working. Now that I’m satisfied that it works, it’s ready to go to Brendan’s house.

I end the evening with my first ever attempt at Zucchini Bread. Although it turns out to be quite edible, I discover that a key ingredient is left out of the recipe. The peanut gallery doesn’t seem to mind and proceeds to eat plenty!
