The problem with being really good with computers is that you become everyone’s tech support. Fortunately for me, that never poses a problem in my life!
Although we don’t make it to the flagship Tiffany & Co., we at least get to check out the Frank Gehry stuff at the local one. They have almost everything available in the Gehry collection which is a far cry from the extremely limited stock we have at Southpark in Charlotte.
It’s grilled corn snack time!
Russell, Toushar, and Gavin go back a ways.
Russell serves up some white wine as the bartender.
Joyti and Dina are doing the real deal in the kitchen.
Every meal is has multiple components and does not disappoint! I tell Russell this is the only vacation I go on where I eat so much but still come back losing weight! All of the food is vegetarian and super healthy!
Russell has a good time with the electric bug zapper and electric dart board. As you can guess, after zapping his shoe a few times, he must try zapping his hand. He may be good with computers but it doesn’t stop from shocking his own hand on purpose.
Hicksville doesn’t have the same meaning in NYC.
We visit Toushar’s and Dina’s lovely home. As soon as I see the spotless white sofas and floors so clean, you can eat off them, I know these two don’t have children.
The home is very spacious and I learn about these floating blinds for the first time.
The boys are back!
This is an ongoing debate about how to fix oversized holes in drywall, Russell is not only the tech support but he is a Mr. Handyman too. Here he inspects the issue with the loose railing.
After careful assessment, he determines that toothpicks are the solution and saves the day!
As our NYC trip draws to a close, I admire my one and only souvenir – a gifted bracelet from the Electric Zoo. Evidently, these Kandi Kids make bracelets and hand them out or swap with others at concerts. I somehow ended up with one that is foreshadowing of a future life or at least that’s what Russell would say.
Larry and Joyti are amazing hosts and we are blessed with such beautiful weather throughout our trip until the end when it’s raining. At least it didn’t rain all through the concert!
We board through our state of the art jetway AKA steps and bid farewell!
Not au revoir but a bientot NYC!
