We cross the bridge from Queens to the city.
Hello Big Apple!
Liz picks a super trendy very NYC place called so simply Bread.
We walk in and immediately, I notice the wait staff is not like back home. Everyone here is an aspiring something. Back home, our wait staff are well, usually, just wait staff. Sometimes they are college students or regular folks trying to make a living. In NYC, the waiters look like aspiring models and actors and are oh-so-trendy.
Russell and I score a rock star parking spot and take a break at the bar.
Russell orders up some fabulous brunch sangria that they make right in front of us.
Chan, Lorna, and Liz join us for brunch at Bread.
The food is lovely and plentiful.
I love how lil’ sis is taking the picture of me and my lil’ sis Liz.
The crew gets a touristy pic snapped before parting ways.
Russell and I start on our merry way down the bustling roads. I can’t imagine sidewalks ever being this busy in Charlotte.
The dessert truck offers waffles galore but we pass as our bellies are still full!
The historical buildings are full of character.
Really? You can get a $350 penalty for honking the horn?
Figure this one out.
Like how the wait staff are different back home, our Hollister does not have a greeting staff like this either!
I love the brightly colored fun toy stores!
It’s always a blast visiting cool friends who live in cool places!
