What’s the big thing I always want to do when I fly out of this great city? Once I get over to the ticketed side, Jamba Juice is a must!
Bye bye Charlotte!
Interesting old school lack-of-jetway method of debarkation.
We experience great frustration in ordering drinks at this NYC Starbucks. How difficult is it to make a coffee flavored drink without coffee, caffeine, artificial sweeteners, doesn’t taste like coffee, and isn’t too sweet? I don’t think it’s too much to ask!
Lots of Asians in NYC reminds me of a less friendly, less toned, but very Asian seeking bunch on the west coast.
Not the bridge to Canada which I accidentally almost took on a trip.
I think this is an interesting intersection.
Umm… police anyone?
This is a pretty cool big tree.
We designate this sit-in without your shoes tear drop artistic deal as a meeting spot should we lose each other.
The Electric Zoo presents quite a spectacular scene. Oh look at that Japanese tourist by the tree taking photos.
Russell recreates this scene countless times as he holds the schedule, checks his watch on the other arm, and then proceeds to immediately forget who is playing where.
Trees do exist on Randall’s Island!
Oh yeah! We join about a zillion other folks in a open tent environment while the beats are rolling.
Overexposure at its best.
You get to see all kinds of styles here like this R2D2 backpack – that one’s for you Dave!
I like this picture even though heads are being cut off.
I wonder if this is a driving range at times?
There is plenty to watch as these guys play with lighted finger tips in gloves.
So the deal with Electric Zoo is it’s a bunch of DJ’s not bands. I keep calling them bands but as you can see, it’s not a band, just a fella standing with a Mac. That could be me!
This is a popular tent.
I *heart* house music, afros, and guys that dress like a mix between Turtle on Entourage and someone from Jersey Shore.
Love that Lululemon five year basic tee and…
… the Lululemon fanny pack which I proudly own in a Charlotte Hornets teal.
Oh here’s that DJ business again.
Man and his Mac again.
The point of these photos is to prove exactly how close we are the stage.
Oh these are all carbons of my ex if you know what I mean.
Dedication for sure.
Finger pointing is clearly the trend! What’s up with the electric banana in the background?
You meet all kinds of characters at concerts, especially house electronic dance music concerts.
Russell is obviously having a great time even during smiling for photos time!
I meet these two random guys and one reminds me of Mark Kano.
Rock on!
Someone asked why we’re sweaty in these photos. Imagine dancing with several thousand of your closest friends to house music in a semi enclosed blow up tent.
DJ Tiesto
We make friends with a couple of 17 year olds who tell us our fate forever. Russell says even these young girls have it figured out.
Uh oh… here comes the glitter again!
Even more glitter!
The end of the first day at Electric Zoo is also the end to one of the most amazing days of my life!
